What is China Pakistan Economic Corridor? Top
​China Pakistan Economic Corridor is a framework of regional connectivity. CPEC will not only benefit China and Pakistan but will have positive impact on Iran, Afghanistan, India, Central Asian Republic, and the region.​
   
When was the CPEC conceived and by whom? Top
It was conceived back in the 1990s, and the first approach to Pakistan from China about connecting China’s western provinces to the Arabian Sea came in 1999. Gwadar port was built in the mid-2000s, and many of the MoUs were signed after 2010. Chinese president Xi Jinping visit Pakistan on April 20th 2015, Pakistan and China rolled out of US$46 billion portfolio agreed under CPEC.

​China and Pakistan have reached consensus on the basis of "one corridor, multiple passages”, aiming to benefit the economic and social development of all regions in Pakistan and provide effective connectivity to Gwadar port.

There is 150 million acres land in Potohar region that is barren and have no obvious development. Government has dedicated that land under agriculture department to CPEC for its development under CPEC projects and to invite foreign and local investors to come up with better ideas and handsome investment for land development.
