Seminar on CPEC creating opportunities in agriculture sector and the challenges that might come through was organized in the first week of July. Minister for Agriculture, Malik Nauman Ahmad Langrial chaired the seminar. Representatives from Center of Excellence, Ministry of Planning Development & Reforms, Dr. Amir Khan (Head of Policy, Socio-Economic Development under CPEC), Dr. Muzammil Zia (Head of Policy, HR Department), Dr. Muhammad Anjum Ali (Director General Agriculture Extension and Adaptive Research Punjab), member of JWG-CPEC and Nadia Mukhtar from LUMS participated in seminar.
International Seminar on Business Opportunities in Punjab (ISBOP)

International Seminar on Business Opportunities in Punjab (ISBOP) was largest and the most successful event held on 22nd and 23rd May in PC Hotel, Lahore, and then on 24th May in Expo Centre Lahore. Different companies across the globe attended ISBOP-2017. The aim of this seminar was to bring investors, enterprises, business owners, entrepreneurs and experts to come together at one platform and discuss the business opportunities being offered in this regard. Agriculture sector identified areas of investment and prepared pre-feasibilities of different projects for investment especially on Fruits and Vegetables Pulping Unit. Different MOUs were signed by Government of Punjab and private companies along with foreign (Chinese and Turkish) companies.
